Ammended regulation for attorneys in Poland

Poland adopted new regulations for attorneys, which secures interests of the clients even stronger, but also liberalizes activities of the attorneys. According to the new regulation, sums of money received by the attorney, must be deposited into bank account, separate from other accounts of the attorney. The attorney has no right to cover his office and legal fees from the deposited amount.

The attorney also must secure information received from the client. If the received information is commercial secret or other confidential information, the attorney must adopt measures from disclosing them. Attorney is also responsible for his employees – they also can not disclose information of the client.

The regulation also gives more liberty for the attorneys, because now they can provide legal services in a whole country and not only one, but in a few companies or law firms. Also, law firms now will have ability to open branches in a whole country.
